Love, Loss and Legacy in Marriage
You don’t talk about it often…
But the thought crosses your mind.
What happens if I go first?
What if my spouse goes before me?
No one prepares you for the quiet after the janazah.
For the papers that must be signed through tears…
For the questions from your children…
For the clothes that still hang in the wardrobe… untouched.
The death of a spouse is not just the end of a life.
It’s the shattering of a world you built together.
In those first few hours… days… and weeks, you're expected to think clearly while grieving deeply. But how can you do that if you were never told what to expect?
This event will help you face that unspoken fear with strength and clarity.
Together, we will walk through:
-
The practical rites and rituals after a spouse’s death
-
What needs to be done immediately, Islamically
-
How to manage the emotional collapse that follows a sudden goodbye
-
The mourning period… what Islam teaches, what your heart feels
-
Wasiyyah and estate planning every couple must do before it's too late
-
How to build a legacy that lives on after one of you is gone
You’ll be guided by Ustaz Mizi Wahid and Ustazah Liyana Musfirah…
with reflections rooted in love, faith and foresight.
Whether you’re still young or already growing older together…
This conversation is one every Muslim household needs to have.
If you’ve lost your spouse, may this gathering soothe your soul.
And if you haven’t… may it prepare your heart for the moment it matters most.
Let love prepare you… not leave you lost.
